Montreal, December 6, 2022 – On December 5th, the JM Canada Foundation held the first edition of its new fundraising event, Soirée Cabaret Classique, at the Cabaret du Lion d’Or. Thanks to the generosity of the Quebec business community, $80,000 was raised. These funds will help promote access to classical music for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and stimulate their development.

The JM Canada Foundation would like to acknowledge the generosity of the event partners of the Soirée Cabaret Classique: Canimex Group, Canadian National, Alfid, National Bank, National Bank Financial, ICPEI, Jeanniot Foundation and Société de développement Angus.

“I would like to thank our partners, donors and volunteers who have all contributed in their own way to the success of this event. I would also like to thank our honorary committee, chaired by Sean Finn, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Canadian National, and Florence Junca-Adenot, President of the JM Canada Foundation. This committee was able to make our cause known to a larger number of people and we are grateful for that,” said Véronique Desjardins, Executive Director of the JM Canada Fondation.

A second edition is planned for 2023.
