It is with great enthusiasm that the JM Canada Foundation announces the return of the Cabaret Classic Evening, which was a great success during its first edition last year. On Monday, December 4, 2023, starting at 5:30 pm, the FJMC invites you to this important fundraising event to raise funds to inspire young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through classical music. The JM Canada Foundation will welcome you in the warm and intimate setting of the Cabaret Lion D’Or, located at 1676, rue Ontario Est in Montreal.
The Cabaret Classic Evening: an exceptional musical experience
Highlighting the elegance of classical music, the evening will offer guests a unique cultural experience with remarkable musical performances by renowned cellist Stéphane Tétreault and the young violist and AIDA scholarship winner, Wilhelm Magner. The journalist and presenter Sophie Fouron, known among other things for her show “Tenir Salon” on TV5, will host the event. The evening will also be an opportunity to taste the exquisite bites from the restaurant Au Petit Extra, adding a gastronomic touch to this artistic moment.
The Cabaret Classic Evening is also an invitation to come together among art and music enthusiasts and to get to know the emerging artists better. It is a philanthropic event that brings together the business community of Montreal around a crucial cause for today’s and tomorrow’s artists.
The Honorary Committee of the Cabaret Classic Evening
For this event, the JM Canada Foundation has brought together a distinguished honorary committee. The committee members are distinguished, among other things, by their commitment to music education and the promotion of the arts within the community. The committee members include:

For Benoit Beauséjour, participating in this event and being involved in its organization was obvious: “It is recognized that classical music can have an impact on the intellectual and emotional development of individuals, especially the young. By getting involved in the committee, I join the members of the JM Canada Foundation to promote and support music education, access to music, and the opportunity for young people to flourish. By supporting the Foundation, I share the importance of encouraging and promoting local and emerging talents that inspire creativity and artistic expression.”
