Montreal, Friday, September 27, 2024 – Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JMC) announces its next Happy Hour Concert, on Thursday, October 10th, in the Salle Joseph-Rouleau of JMC’s André-Bourbeau House. Elisabeth St-Gelais, 2024 soprano in residence, shares a special moment with her collaborators Valérie Lachance-Guillemette and Philippe Brochu-Pelletier, saxophonists, Julien Sagot, percussionist and member of the group KARKWA, Antoine Tardif on flugelhorn, and Louise Pelletier on piano. Improvisation is the order of the day, on the theme of Innushkeu (Innu Woman) inspired by poems from Joséphine Bacon’s collection Uiesh (Somewhere), as well as the creation of a work by Élisabeth and Philippe Brochu-Pelletier. Bring some chic to your Thursday evening and join us in celebrating our 75th anniversary!
