For Immediate Release

Montreal, November 7, 2024 – The Jeunesses Musicales Canada Foundation is delighted to announce that renowned flutist Ariane Brisson has joined the AIDA fund jury. This program is designed to support the career growth and professional journey of young Quebec artists, providing them with access to leading cultural institutions both nationally and internationally.

An AIDA laureate herself, Ariane Brisson toured with Jeunesses Musicales Canada in 2017-2018. She has since forged a brilliant career as a soloist, chamber musician, and Artistic Director of the Pentaèdre Wind Quintet. Her expertise, particularly in wind instruments—a category previously underrepresented on the jury—along with her deep commitment to nurturing emerging talent, will be invaluable. Her unique perspective and passion for classical music will enhance the selection process for young artists aspiring to achieve a high level of professionalism.

“Having benefited from the support offered by Jeunesses Musicales Canada and its Foundation earlier in my career, I can affirm that their assistance is not only generous but essential for a young artist’s development. It is truly an honor for me to join the AIDA fund jury, and I look forward to helping promote the next generation of talent!” – Ariane Brisson

Awarded annually by the Jeunesses Musicales Canada Foundation, the AIDA fund provides young artists at the start of their careers with the resources needed to refine their artistry and expand their professional networks. With Ariane Brisson’s participation, the Foundation reinforces its commitment to support Canada’s top musical talents and foster the emergence of new classical music artists.
