Experience the magic of the holiday season with Jazz-Noisette

Posted by mmelia | November 19, 2024

Montreal, November 18, 2024Jeunesses Musicales Canada is offering young audiences a unique experience on December 1 and 8 at the Salle Joseph-Rouleau at Maison André-Bourbeau as part of their 75th anniversary celebrations. Audiences will be treated to Jazz-Noisette, a daring adaptation in which Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet The Nutcracker meets Duke Ellington’s jazz under the mistletoe for an kooky and festive adventure!

On Christmas Eve, Clara eagerly awaits the arrival of her uncle, who has promised her the multicoloured ballet slippers of her dreams. But Uncle Drosselmeyer – musician, magician and computer programmer – has an extraordinary surprise in store for her: a programmable nutcracker robot capable of everything… except dancing without crushing her toes! The music speeds up, frees itself and gets everyone dancing at this jazzy Christmas party!
