Montreal, May 20, 2026 — The Jeunesses Musicales Canada Foundation is proud to announce the success of its Classical Cabaret Evening, held on May 19 at Le Monastère in Montreal. Thanks to the generosity of guests, partners, donors, and collaborators, the event raised nearly $157,500 in support of emerging musicians and access to classical music experiences for young people across Canada.
Bringing together nearly 150 guests from the philanthropic, cultural, and business communities, the evening featured an elegant cocktail-style format combining musical performances, networking, and a celebration of the impact of the arts in society.
The funds raised will allow more young people to discover classical music through educational concerts and musical experiences offered in communities across the country. They will also help support the training and career development of emerging Canadian musicians.
To maximize the impact of the donations collected, the funds will be invested and matched in perpetuity through various government matching programs, ensuring a lasting impact for generations to come.
“Every act of generosity made during this evening contributes directly to helping classical music thrive and to offering young artists and thousands of children unique opportunities for discovery, learning, and personal growth,” said Véronique Desjardins, Executive Director of the Jeunesses Musicales Canada Foundation.
The Foundation would like to warmly thank the members of its honorary committee, the evening’s artists, as well as all partners, donors, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event.
