BIOGRAPHIES

Krystina Marcoux, marimba

Krystina Marcoux is a magnetic performer, renowned for her electrifying energy, precision, and creativity. A first-prize winner of the OSM Standard Life Competition, she has appeared as a soloist with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Kent Nagano and made history as the first marimbist to present a recital at the Festival Bach Montréal.

She is the co-founder of the award-winning duo Stick&Bow, recipient of Opus Awards for “Artist of the Year” and “International Outreach,” whose bold recordings and collaborations have been acclaimed worldwide. A multidisciplinary artist and dedicated educator, she captivates audiences across the globe with a distinctly innovative artistic vision.

 

Conrado Moya, marimba

Marimba soloist Conrado Moya is an internationally recognized performer and leading figure in the marimba world, acclaimed for his outstanding technical command and expressive artistry. He appears regularly as soloist with orchestras worldwide, including the Orquesta de Córdoba, Banda Municipal de Barcelona, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia, and Stadtorchester Frauenfeld. His repertoire includes four marimba concertos written for him, as well as his transcription of Rodrigo’s Concierto Heroico.

An active chamber musician, he collaborates with artists such as pianist Josu de Solaun and percussionist Katarzyna Myćka and performs with ensembles including Marimba Quartett and the Li Biao Percussion Group across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

He is a frequent guest at major festivals such as PASIC (Indianapolis) and the Mercedes-Benz Festival (Shanghai) and is dedicated to expanding the marimba repertoire through commissions and transcriptions, featured on his albums Silentium and Marimba Synergy.

Moya is also a respected educator, giving masterclasses and serving on international juries. He teaches at ESMAR in Valencia and is an endorsed artist of Marimba One.
